Was fishing last Tuesday at Port Logan. Plenty of fish between the four of us. Not very many good Cod or Haddock though. Plenty of Pollack, Mackeral and Gurnards. Any fish will do me. Used Mackeral feathers and muppets for the majority of the day. Strips of Mac on each hook to attract the big fish.

Uncle caught a octopus as well and cousin got a squid. Horrible looking out of water.

Biggest fish was last cast of the day. A 5 lbs cod.

With sea fishing you don't have to be as precise as coarse fishing. I used to use home made rigs with beads and aberdeen size 3/4 hooks but i've discovered you have more chance of getting a fish with rigs that you buy from the shops. Say cod feathers, mackeral feathers, artificial muppets or whatever.

My favourites are the cod and mackeral feathers. (cod are white, mackeral are coloured)
